Biography: A. K. M. Baki is the Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. From 2014 to 2016 he was an Associate Professor of the same department. Dr. Baki was an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Independent University, Bangladesh. From 2009 to 2011 he was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received the M.Sc. degree from the University of Bolton, U.K., having followed a postgraduate program in Electronic System and Engineering Management at the South-Westphalia University of Applied Science (former University of Paderborn), Germany. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2007 from Kyoto University, Japan. From 2003 to 2006 he was a researcher in the Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere, Kyoto University. From 1994 to 2003 Dr. Baki worked as an Assistant Engineer and Sub-Divisional Engineer in the Wireless Networking Division, Power Line Carrier Communication Division, Different Power Stations, Grid Sub-Stations and Planning Division of Bangladesh Power Development Board. Dr. Baki is the former recipient of Australian Research Council (ARC) Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship. He received Japanese Government (Monbusho: MEXT) scholarship for Ph.D. research. Dr. Baki is the former recipient of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) scholarship. He is the reviewer of several IEEE journals.
