Biography: Prof. M. Mofazzal Hossain has been serving as professor and Head of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), Dhaka. He received his B.Sc. Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, and Masters and PhD from Kanazawa University, Japan in 1993, 2000 and 2003 respectively. He started his career as a Lecturer in EEE Department at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology in 27 April 1994 and served there as an Assistant Professor till April 2008. From May 2008 to December 2018, he worked at East West University, Dhaka in the capacity of Chairperson of ECE Department and Dean, Faculty of Sciences and Engineering. Prof. Hossain worked at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan as a visiting post- doctoral research fellow from November 2005 to November 2007. Prof. Hossain’s research area is multidisciplinary. His current research interest includes renewable energy, photovoltaics, impacts of electric vehicles on environment and grid. He published more than 76 articles in peer reviewed international journals and conferences. He is a member of IEEE and IEB. Prof. Hossain has been working with BAETE, Bangladesh in  different capacities closely.
